In der Tradition der großen amerikanischen Swing- und Bigband-Drummer, beeinflusst von den virtuosen Schlagzeugern der Rockgeschichte und geprägt von den Größen des RnB und Gospel hat Hardy Fischötter im Lauf seiner Karriere sein unprätentiöses Spiel zu hoher Virtuosität und seinen Ton zu grosser Klarheit mit Charakter und hohem Wiedererkennungswert entwickelt.
Ob Jazz, Funk, Bluesrock, Pop - immer das Wesentliche im Fokus haben, immer „tight“ und mit unbeirrbarer Time die Basis und den Zusammenhalt schaffen, Dialog und Kooperation, die Kunst der Pause - it’s always about the Groove.
Hardy kam im Alter von 7 Jahren zum Schlagzeugspiel und war bereits 2 Jahre später mit der Band seines Bruders regelmäßig auf der Bühne, die er seitdem nicht mehr verlassen hat. 1984 begann er ein Musikstudium in Köln, wo er seitdem lebt und arbeitet.
Sein breites Spektrum reicht von Big Band Jazz, Swing, Bebop, Soul, Funk, Fusion, Gospel, Bluesrock, Pop bis zu Musicals und Revuen und führte ihn zu vielen internationalen Tourneen und Festivals. Er spielte als Studiomusiker eine Vielzahl verschiedener Studioproduktionen ein und gibt daneben seine Erfahrung im Unterricht an diversen Schlagzeugschulen an den Nachwuchs weiter.
Following the tradition of the great American swing and big band drummers, influenced by the virtuoso drummers of rock history and shaped by the masters of RnB and gospel, Hardy Fischötter has refined his unpretentious style to great virtuosity and developed a distinctive tone of great clarity with character and high recognition value.
No matter which style - jazz, funk, blues rock, pop - always focusing on the essentials, always playing "tight" and giving space to unfold creativity - his unwavering “time” provides a decisive base for cohesion, dialogue and cooperation. It's always about the groove.
Hardy started playing drums at the age of 7. Two years later he joined his brother's band and from then on was seen regularly on stage until today. In 1984 he started studying music and relocated to Cologne where he lives and works until today.
His broad stylistic range includes big band jazz, swing, bebop, soul, funk, fusion, hiphop, gospel, blues rock, pop, musicals and revue shows and has led to participating in numerous international tours and festivals.
As a studio musician he recorded a variety of different productions and besides also passes on his experience to the next generation by teaching at various drum schools.
